Singapore 2015: Universal Studios Singapore, Madam Tussauds Wax Museum & Changi City Point

4:27 AM

I was back in Universal Studios Singapore but this time I was all by myself. I also explored the whole island (Sentosa) that day and went to Changi City Point mall to shop. I went on the usual rides and shows. I didn't felt lonely that time because I was busy going to one attraction after the other and really taking advantage of the 5-10 minutes waiting time per ride.

Again Battlestar Galactica was still closed so I didn't get to ride it. The day I visited USS was on a Monday that's why the lines were really short and the waiting time was aroung 5-15 minutes each ride and even the lines where you would take pictures with the different characters and famous people are non existent, yey.
Around 2 pm I went out and explored Sentosa. Stumbled upon the 2nd Merlion Statue. Took a stroll around the beach end of the island and one beach was named after Palawan! (Proud to be pinoy moment, lol) I den discovered that there was a Madam Tussauds wax museum in Sentosa .
That time, the museum was just recently opened. It was somewhat the same with the one in Hongkong but I still enjoyed taking selfies with celebrities hahaha. Some of the notable differences of the Singapore version were:
  • The Beatles were crossing Abbey Road in London
  • There wasn't a Korea Town :((((
  • Instead of Hongkong celebrities, the one in Singapore features Singaporean celebs. (Obviously)
  • And the poses of the was figures were a little bit different too
How much: Last I remember the entrance fee for USS was SGD 72 and for the Madam Tussauds was around SGD 20. Better to check there websites for an updated price list.

How to get there: From Novena Station alight at Dhoby Ghaut and transfer to the North West Line going to Harbour Front Station. Once you get to Harbour Front Station, take the Sentosa Express to explore the island or you could always walk walk walk walk walk walk like what I did haha

I then went to do a little bit of shopping. Went to Changi City Point Mall cause that's where my dad told me to buy shoes and clothes since that is where some of the factory outlets are (Nike, Adidas, Crocs and a lot more brands) Bought 2 pairs of shoes for around 2,500 Php each (Nike Air Force 1) and a couple of shirts. Then ate Lechon Kawali at Mang Kiko's hahaha.
How much: Shoes for around 1,000-3,000 Php (Nike, Adidas, Puma etc.)

How to get there: From Harbour Front alight at Outram Park and transfer to the East West Line and alight at Expo Station.
